East End Pubs – New Book Release by Hoxton Mini Press

East End Pubs – a new book celebrating the stories, culture and community of the greatest East End's pubs – before they vanish!

Just landed from the excellent Hoxton Mini Press, a small independent publisher in East London comes East End Pubs: A Celebration of East London’s Most Iconic Boozers by photographer Tim George and urban explorer & author Alistair Von Lion.

Celebrating the vibrant pub culture and community of the East End’s greatest pubs, this beautiful, hardback book captures part of East London’s rich history through unique photography and engaging stories. From wet led backstreet boozers to historic riverside inns, East London Pubs uncovers an often overlooked world of snug bars welcoming Guv’nors, loyal punters and inventive landladies.

While we seen efforts to preserve the historic and cultural significance of these establishments, alas, the East End has seen some of the highest rates of pub closures in Britain. So, we say – let’s celebrate these fantastic pubs so we don’t lose them forever!
