Everything in life feels sweeter with cookies, brownies and cakes. Especially the sort of treats made by Olivia Benbanaste, who in lockdown founded her East London business Liv’s Baked Goodies, inspired by her Turkish-Jewish roots. From delivering orders on her bike, she quickly had to upgrade to a car to keep up with the fast demand of orders for her bespoke selection of treats. Think flower-and-sprinkle-strewn celebration cakes and salted caramel chocolate tarts, tahini chocolate chip cookies and even savoury doughy treats such as Pogaça (po-a-cha), a Turkish delicacy made with feta and dill (all now available online – alongside a festive collection).
