Amongst the sweetest of aromas wafting from Brick Lane’s storefronts are those belonging to the colourful vegan and gluten-free delights – fresh from the ovens of Vida Bakery. It wasn’t long ago that Venezuelan owners Dani and Vani were sharing photos of home-baked creations on social media, with customer demand leading them to open pop-ups at UK markets and festivals. True to their name Vida, Spanish for “life”, the duo is living their dream since opening their permanent bakery and café.
