Luckily East London is home to candlemakers Earl of East London, who boast a tantalising collection in their Hackney shop. They also run beginners’ candle-making workshops, where you can create your own bespoke fragrance in a hand-poured 6oz candle. Courses are available on weekends and certain weekdays throughout February and March.
