Rarely do you get a window into the everyday world of working LGBT+ people in Britain today: what it’s like to hold down a demanding job in the UK’s corporate world and balance that part of your life with how you identify. Many are still struggling to be truly accepted for all that they are.
Photographer Fiona Freund’s series of stunning portraits #CorporateQueer is a deeply honest, wonderfully captured and extraordinarily candid insight into professionals who want to celebrate their own ‘queerness’ or that of their allies and colleagues. It is a photography exhibition, a book and a campaign designed to champion LGBT+ professionals and inspire, empower and initiate change. 50+ large portraits of individuals and groups of LGBT+ people and their allies. Each image is accompanied by 200-300 words written by the subject about their work/life experience, along with an accompanying photography book.
