Pasta lovers, listen up: the team behind Dalston’s much-loved Angelina is bringing its Italian-Japanese magic to the City. Osteria Angelina lands in Norton Folgate this March, taking over a beautifully restored Victorian warehouse on the edge of Spitalfields and Shoreditch. Expect next-level handmade pasta, big-flavour Binchotan grill cuts, and a 300-strong wine list that’s got “long lunch” written all over it.
If you’ve dined at Angelina, you’ll know they don’t do things by the book. Osteria Angelina is all about classic Italian cooking with a Japanese twist – think silky fresh pastas paired with umami-rich broths, plus tableside Gran Bollito Misto (because who doesn’t love a dramatic trolley moment?). The open kitchen, complete with a pasta station behind glass, means you can watch the masters at work while you sip on Japanese whisky or grappa.
The vibe? A modern osteria, meaning laid-back but elevated – ideal for everything from a speedy midweek carb fix to a celebratory feast with mates. And with interiors by Anna Owens Designs, expect monochrome elegance and bespoke tableware to match.
Osetria Angelina opens March 2025
