Fazenda Bar and Grill impresses right from the entrance. A stunning herringbone wooden floor, complemented by wood panelling and exotic prints, set the scene. Inviting leather and velvet seating only add to the warm welcome. We opted for the bar, and it’s highly recommended. The knowledgeable, cheery, and helpful staff enhance the Fino bar experience at Fazenda.
This is the place where one dirty martini is never enough—you’ll find yourself ordering another just to confirm how good it is. While it’s tempting to spend an entire afternoon or evening at the Fino bar with marvellous mixologist Tad, the allure of an Argentinian and Brazilian culinary adventure drew us upstairs. The dining room, both modern and classic, was buzzing with energy. Comfortable leather chairs and banquet seating continued the luxurious, warm, and inviting atmosphere, and the service was as genuine as it gets.
Bring your appetite, because missing out is not an option here. We started with the intriguing Aceitunas – Gordal and Kalamata reconstructed olives, which proved to be a Willy Wonka-esque experience thanks to their spherification process. A nod to Executive Chef Francisco Martinez’s tenure at El Bulli. The excellence continued with the silky Tonnato Vitello — yellowfin tuna with a beef cream emulsion and capers, offering a buttery delight. The Gamba Patagonica, a giant king prawn with spicy chimichurri, and the pillowy Bolinho de Bacalhau, a round croquette with cod, potato and lemon, were equally magnificent.
While the starters alone could warrant a visit, the true highlight is the Rodizio Experience. A meat lover’s paradise, offering unlimited skewered meats carved at your table. Prime rib, fillet steak, Wagyu beef, spicy sausage, gammon, lamb, and even surprisingly delicious chicken hearts, accompanied by carved roasted pineapple to cleanse your palate. Each place setting includes a serious steak knife, though the tender and succulent meats hardly require it. The Market table, also unlimited, features creative fresh and flavourful dishes. It’s hard to choose, but take care not to overload your plate, as the juicy meats deserve the spotlight.
To complement our feast, we chose to sample a selection of red wines by the glass, expertly guided by sommelier, Andrea and her extensive knowledge of South American wines. Thanks to Fazenda’s Coravin system, we could enjoy some of the finest wines without committing to an entire bottle.
After such a spread, dessert seemed impossible, but a good coffee and a final dirty martini at the Fino bar made for the perfect ending to an exceptional experience.
