While it might be fashionable to think big, Museum of the Home has decided to think small for its latest exhibit, a miniature dolls house showcasing the very best in mid-century modern design
If you’re at all long-sighted, we suggest you definitely bring your specs to view Museum of the Home’s brand new exhibit, a beautiful dolls house that’s been specially created to display mid-century modern design, but all on a miniature scale.
This latest installation is the result of a collaboration between Vinterior, the online marketplace for pre-loved furniture and homeware and The Kensington Dollshouse Company and it certainly packs a powerful visual punch for something so small!
Championing sustainability and design, the house includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, with each decorated in Edward Bulmer Natural Paint and meticulously furnished with period-appropriate pieces, including an Eames rocking chair and industrial pendant lamps.
The dolls house will be exhibited at the Museum of the Home until the end of October when it will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Museum’s Campaign for Change, supporting social justice causes such as Hidden Homelessness, Food Equality, Period Poverty and Climate Action.
