Christmas is an age away, yet summer feels like a distant memory – we’re in that interminable part of the year where time is listlessly dragging its feet, work feels never-ending, and we could really do with a good break. Thankfully, an afternoon of Yin Yoga and dance-led mediation (we’re hoping this means the Macarena but in parachute pants) is coming to East London – the perfect opportunity to blow off some steam and reconnect with yourself. The afternoon begins with a cacao ceremony, followed by Yin Yoga. The whole event is in aid of CALAIDE, a non-profit female initiative which brings physical aid and relief to those living in refugee camps in Calais. Physical donation boxes for clothes and shoes will also be there – so this may be the ideal opportunity to have a wardrobe clear-out, while knowing that you will be helping refugees to stay warm during the winter.
