East London Property of the Week: One James Lane, E10

Leyton and Leytonstone to grow in popularity, in fact The Sunday Time recently crowned Leyton as one of the best places to live in the UK. The area is still seen as offering better value than more central east locations and convenient transport links, good schools and a blossoming community of independent shops and eateries mean buyers don’t have to comprise on lifestyle. It is also surrounded by the fantastic green spaces of Epping Forest, Wanstead Flats, Hackney Marshes and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

What we love about the area: Perky Blenders at project 660 (just a short walk from One James Lane) is always the first port of call for our caffeine fix! We also love everything about nearby Francis Road. It’s picture perfect terraced houses and its growing community of independent shops; we want to buy absolutely everything in Venner and can never resist stopping for a glass of wine at Yardarm.
