It’s the mash-up you didn’t know you needed: a Chinese Jewish Christmas supper club. American deli-inspired all-day restaurant The Good Egg has invited Edgar Wallace, formally of Koya, to host the supper club in the Stoke Newington Restaurant on 21st and 22nd December. For over a century there has been an American-Jewish custom of cracking out the chopsticks on Christmas Day due to the lack of other open restaurants. Expect four courses of a delicious collision of the two cuisines with starters including a Szechuan noodle kugel with smoked mackerel, soy mustard dressing and garlic chives, and gefilte hispi rolls.
