Street Feast & Music – Dinerama, Shoreditch

Last week we were hosted by the lovely Street Feast team at their Dinerama venue. En route, we made our way through a huge ground floor packed out with food stalls, from wood fired pizzas, Japanese dumplings and buns to fresh loaded doughnuts. The space had a real buzz to it. Upstairs there were various rooms, all available for hire, including the Rum Roof Top and the more intimate House Of Bamboo. The spaces are transformed from winter venues that include wood burning fires and heaters into summer venues by craftily removing walls and ceilings to open up the space. All the rooms are decorated with fairy lights, plants and furniture – elevating the pared-down space that was once a bullion truck yard.

We were led to the Mezzanine wine bar where the drinks were flowing and a variety of delicious small dishes were on offer. We devoured the sticky buns within seconds. Next we were offered chicken dumplings in a warm broth, seasoned and garnished with a seeds, nuts and herbs. Whilst swooning over these we spotted large sticks of halloumi covered in pomegranate, sour cream and seasonings. They looked so good we practically launched ourselves at the waiter to sample them. When we thought it couldn’t get any better, a dessert option was served, soft steaming doughnuts with a side of delicious ice cream, caramel, popcorn and peanuts. One bite and we were in heaven as the creamy dough melts to nothing in your mouth.

The space is rustic but stylish and has housed parties for the likes of Google, ASOS and London Evening Standard. The raving reviews are not hard to find, the fabulous staff, delicious food and great drinks surpass all expectations. If you’re in need of a venue for a party or even in need of a fun night out with friends we implore you to try Dinerama.
