Thought Canary Wharf was all business and bankers? Think again.
From Monday 24th to Friday 28th September, visitors to Canary Wharf will be able to watch the creation of a live artwork at Crossrail Place Roof Garden. Pauline Amos, the internationally-acclaimed artist will combine her painting with music from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment to create a large-scale, multi-sensory artwork comprising four panels. Amos works with mixed media, oil paint and charcoal, using her hands and body to paint her masterpieces in response to the orchestra’s music and the circumstances of her surroundings.
The performance begins on Monday 24th September from 10am-6.30pm and will culminate in a closing event and performance with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment on Thursday, 27th September. The finished piece can be viewed for just one day on Friday, 28th September.
