Given his real name is Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson, it’s no surprise the soulful Icelandic singer-songwriter goes under his more manageable moniker. He’s just put out the appropriately titled Across the Borders, a fresh LP of rousing originals, so expect that to get a decent airing. Plus, recent favourites such as Color Decay, Neon Experience and Gold Laces will also no doubt make an appearance. Well worth checking out.

The Bristol-born, half-Maltese singer-songwriter famously began releasing material while still at school, before landing a record deal with Island. She took a few years off in 2014 to deal with health issues, but came back with a bang with the energetic Psycho, ahead of a new EP due this year. Kylie is a fan, so don’t be surprised if a few familiar faces are spotted at this welcome return.
