The Greek-Sudanese singer-composer cum actress has worked with a wide variety of prestigious voices, including Bobby McFerrin, Paco de Lucia and Wayne Shorter. In 2016, she founded women’s vocal group Fones, which expanded into a 50-women female choir, showcased on new single Mantissa. She’s been showcased by Google as one of the most interesting YouTube acts to watch in 2017, and is based in Athens. Expect to hear an eclectic collection of cinematic sounds at this intimate show.

Rina Mushonga
Now based in Peckham, the Dutch-Zimbabwean singer is currently the toast of BBC6Music and brings her beats-based synth sounds to East London for this headline show. Check out her acclaimed, expansive new long-player In a Galaxy for a taste of what to expect. The move to our shores has evidently paid off in spades, and she’ll no doubt be singing the capital’s praises on the night.

The Coventry star has already impressed with his acting chops – check out the video for last year’s breakout RnB-flavoured single That’s My Bae – and his rapping skills are equally as impressive. Most surprising of all, he name-checks none other than Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith as influences, which gives a good idea of the breadth of the man’s palette. Doors at 8pm. Tickets cost £12.40.

Bayonne
Roger Sellers – who these days goes by the moniker Bayonne – is an indie hipster favourite based out of Austin, Texas. Known for his minimalist electronic dreamy pop, he’s been releasing albums (and EPs) for almost a decade, beginning with 2011’s Moments and most recently, this year’s Drastic Measures. Expect to hear a spread of material as the moustachioed master takes the stage for a night of memorable sonic musings. Doors at 7.30pm. Tickets £9.

Vampire Weekend
They’re back! The indie pop-rockers have weathered plenty of storms since their breakout success a decade ago – and rebound again with their long-awaited new long-player Father of the Bride. It’s their first in six years – and it’s without multi-instrumentalist Rostam Batmanglij, who officially left in 2016. Expect the remaining core trio to be augmented by a clutch of (four) touring players, as they blast their way back onto stage with renewed purpose. This EartH show, which requires a pre-order of the new album for ticket access, is immediately followed by two consecutive shows at Islington Assembly Hall.
