Start the weekend off with a relaxing yoga practise in the heart of Hackney. Meet at 10am at BEAST favourite hangout spot – A Portuguese Love Affair. (Their Portuguese Custard Tart’s are the best we’ve ever had)! Yoga will be at Ion Square Gardens, just a 3-minute walk from the meeting point and there will be free refreshments after class. Bring a yoga mat, water, comfortable clothing and get ready to experience the outdoors with a meditative and restorative flow brought to you by the lovely Christina. No registration required. See you on the mat!

Herb Walk at Hackney Marshes – Discover the creative and beneficial uses of herbs

Searching for a wholesome and educational activity for this weekend? Well, look no further than Hackney Marshes where we will be joining social enterprise Hackney Herbal, a collective on a mission to promote health and wellbeing through herbs. The event will involve a 2-hour foraging walk followed by a discussion and workshop on the edible and medicinal plants around this time of year.

Sunday Morning Vinyasa Yoga

Join East London based yoga instructor Nik McCarthy for a 60-minute Vinyasa flow class in London fields. Open to all abilities, whether you are a seasoned yogi or just fancy a Sunday morning stretch, all are welcome. Bring a yoga mat, comfortable clothing and cross your fingers for some sunshine. Meet at London Fields station (the exit closest to the park) in East London at 11am, then head over to the park together.

Something BIG is happening in East London this Sunday: the UK’s largest vintage kilo sale to be precise. And when we say big, we mean BIG! 6 TONNES of stock to rifle through and thousands of vintage, retro and branded items from the 70’s to the early 00’s. Think retro tees, jackets, jumpers, shorts, skirts and denim. Split 50/50 between men and womenswear – that’s our summer wardrobes sorted! The Shoreditch Mardi Gras

‘No Limit Street Band’ – the ultimate high-energy 8-piece brass band will be bringing New Orleans to East London on Friday the 9 August. Join them at The Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch and expect covers of party classics from Jamiroquai to Stevie Wonder. Followed by The Beekays with party favourites from the golden era of music. Dance to the sounds of Aretha Franklin, James Brown, sly and many more. And as if you won’t have had enough musical treats, The Blues Kitchen resident DJ’s will be spinning vintage classics into the late hours. Sounds like a dreamy summer evening to us.
