If your new year’s resolution is to do more to help others or the environment, consider volunteering with the Canal & River Trust. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people, while making a real difference to your local surroundings. On 12th and 29th January, head down to West India Dock Impounding Station to help the Towpath Taskforce give the building a deep clean and a new lick of paint. Tools, equipment and refreshments will be provided, and no experience is needed. It’s a great way to find out more about volunteering opportunities with the trust while learning new skills from experts.
